Anyone up for listening to some Brazilian Bossa Nova?
I have a huge soft spot for Brazilian music. Perhaps it's the fact my dad is married to a Brazilian and lives in Portugal, or maybe it's because some of my favourite MF DOOM and Madlib (and even some Dilla) beats borrow elements from some brilliant Bossa Nova and other Brazilian genres.
I don't believe this Lô Borges track has ever been used as a sample, but the breakdown at around 1 minute 10 seconds needs to be used for hip hop. I think I have a beat of mine where I sampled it, but couldn't tell you where it is. It probably won't ever see the light of day either...
